Bovine pox virus is the largest and most complex DNA virus, with a linear double-stranded DNA genome of about 190 kb in length, encoding about 200 genes, with an envelope and brick-shaped viral particles of about 300x240x120 nm. The virus has a wide host range and can insert a large capacity of exogenous genes; the virus replicates and proliferates in the cytoplasm and does not integrate into the host cell genome. Currently, Western Reverse, Lister, Wyeth, Ankara, NewYork Vaccinia, Copenhagen and Titan strains are the most common strains, among which Western Reverse, Lister, Wyeth and Copenhagen strains have tumor lysis properties. The Western Reverse, Lister, Wyeth and Copenhagen strains were tumor soluble, and the Western Reverse strain had the strongest tumor solubility.
